The ESCD has multiple subgroups each with an interest in a specific aspect of contact dermatitis, these include:
- European Baseline series (started June 2017)
- ESSCA European surveillance system on occupational and non-occupational allergens
- Fragrance group
- Photopatch testing group
- ESCD Taskforce: Legal matters concerning patch test materials
