Dear colleagues, dear friends,
With all the uncertainties created by the rapid spread of Covid-19 virus throughout the world and further tightening restrictions in many countries including the Netherlands, we had to conclude that it is impossible to hold our congress in Amsterdam in June this year.
With deep regret we had to announce the cancellation of that date of our congress. We are aware of the disappointments and potential consequences for many of us. However, we ask for your understanding in these difficult times.
We are very glad to have found a new date, December 14 to 16 2020. I hope all of you can come to Amsterdam and enjoy the friendly pre-Christmas atmosphere of the town. Together, we can do our best to have a good and hopefully safe ESCD congress later this year.
We will keep you updated with all relevant information on our website. The General Assembly is going to take place on Wednesday, 16 December 2020. Until this date the current presidency and representatives continue with their work as usual.
Wishing all of you the very best and looking forward to seeing you in good health and to welcoming you in Amsterdam,
On behalf of the ESCD executive committee,
Thomas Rustemeyer
President of the ESCD
